Chairwoman of the Executive Board of the Employment Agency visits Maschinenfabrik Alfing Kessler

During her visit to the Federal Employment Agency, Andrea Nahles learned about digitization and training at Alfing Kessler. The focus was on investments, exchange, and a tour of the production facilities.

Last Tuesday, Maschinenfabrik Alfing Kessler welcomed the Chair of the Executive Board of the Federal Employment Agency, Andrea Nahles, for an informative on-site visit and exchange. Ms. Nahles showed great interest in the current developments and challenges faced by medium-sized companies in the course of ongoing transformation and digitalization.

 

In addition to Ms. Nahles, representatives from the local Employment Agency, the Federal Employment Agency, and the Baden-Württemberg Regional Directorate of the Employment Agency were also present, along with other guests, including HR Manager Rainer Benneker, Works Council Chairman Rainer Lehnert, as well as journalists and media representatives who accompanied the visit. The aim of the meeting was to provide insights into Maschinenfabrik Alfing Kessler’s current strategies and investments and to jointly discuss future challenges.

Managing Director Konrad Grimm provided a detailed report on the company’s development, which has been continuously investing in modern technologies and innovative production processes for years. He explained how Maschinenfabrik Alfing Kessler is actively shaping change in order to remain competitive in the market in the future. In doing so, he addressed the importance of investments in automation, the digitalization of production processes, and the qualification of employees.

As part of the visit, Mr. Grimm guided Ms. Nahles and the representatives of the Federal Employment Agency, together with the other guests, through the company’s various business units. During the tour, visitors were able to gain insight into production areas LF4 and P5 as well as the press forge.

The meeting once again demonstrated how important dialogue between business and public institutions is in order to jointly set the course for a successful future.
