Maschinenfabrik ALFING Kessler GmbH

On 25 April 1911, Karl Kessler founded together with Franz Dopfer jun. the company Maschinenfabrik Alfing in Wasseralfingen. The name Maschinenfabrik distanced itself from the classic craft business, since the products were already being manufactured with modern machines.

As a medium-sized family company with around 1,400 employees, the ALFING Kessler Maschinenfabrik is now globally oriented and offers the highest level of competence in forging, heat treatment, machining and assembly of precision components. On a production area of more than 170,000 m² at the main location in Aalen-Wasseralfingen, we manufacture crankshafts and precision components up to a length of 8 m with the most modern production facilities and excellent technological knowledge. In the hardening machine construction division, induction hardening machines and heating systems are developed, built and used worldwide.

With our subsidiaries and Replace with Alfing Industrial Components (Guilin) Co., Ltd. in China, we also supply the Asian markets.

MAFA Shanghai Co. Ltd.

After 102 years of company history of the parent company Maschinenfabrik ALFING Kessler GmbH, with the official opening of Maschinenfabrik ALFING Kessler Shanghai Co., Ltd, another important milestone was reached in April 2013. Our business with large crankshafts and induction hardening systems began directly in China at the end of the 1990s. Since 2005, we have been represented at Marintec Shanghai, the world's largest shipbuilding trade fair. 

In order to be able to cope with the increasing business volume and the new projects, the frequency of visits to our Chinese business partners has been increased significantly. As a logical consequence, we opened a local sales office in China in order to take into account the continuously increasing market needs and market conditions. We currently supply crankshafts and hardening machines to over 20 engine manufacturers located in China.

Alfing Industrial Components (Guilin) Co., Ltd. was founded in 2018.

With our subsidiary in China, we produce crankshafts locally for localized engine manufacturers.

The large production areas, state-of-the-art technologies, and highly qualified employees are the prerequisites for continuing to be an attractive supplier for all engine manufacturers in China.
