Over 600 visitors attend MAFA's “Training Day”

Strong interest at the “Training Day”: Over 600 visitors at Maschinenfabrik Alfing Kessler 

In perfect summer weather, Maschinenfabrik Alfing Kessler opened its doors on Saturday, June 28, 2025, for the “Training Day.” Between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., more than 600 interested visitors streamed onto the company premises to learn about apprenticeship and study opportunities—and they did so with great enthusiasm.
A key element was the varied station circuit, where young people could actively explore different apprenticeship and study programs. At several hands-on stations, they gained practical insight into MAFA’s technical and commercial career fields—supported by dedicated apprentices and trainers who shared stories from everyday work.

A special highlight was the large prize draw: all young participants who completed the station circuit had the chance to win one of 39 attractive prizes—from AirPods to VIP tickets for 1. FC Heidenheim, there was something for everyone. There was also plenty on offer in terms of food and music. Various food trucks catered for visitors, accompanied by relaxed music and a summery atmosphere.

Another crowd-puller was the M+E info truck from Südwestmetall, which offered exciting insights into the world of metal and electrical professions—with cutting-edge technology, virtual reality applications, and interactive exhibits. In addition, the doors to the new training center were opened for the first time, attracting a great deal of interest. From now on, training will take place here in modern rooms with a practical, future-oriented focus—a clear commitment to developing skilled talent at the Wasseralfingen site.
