Bachelor of Science Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

Professional Responsibilities

Our data scientists analyze large and complex datasets to derive well-founded insights for business decisions. They develop data-driven models and algorithms, especially in the areas of production, quality assurance, logistics, sales, and controlling. To do so, they prepare data from various sources, evaluate it using statistical methods, machine-learning techniques, and modern AI tools, and present the results in a way that is tailored to the target audience. For analysis, evaluation, and visualization, they use established business intelligence (BI) tools. In addition, data scientists support specialist departments in introducing and further developing data-based processes and make an important contribution to the continuous optimization of business operations.

Practical Training

During the practical phases, training is project-oriented in the IT department as well as in various specialist departments. From the start of their studies, our dual students work with real data and practical questions. They develop analytical models, use BI and AI tools, create reports, dashboards, and forecasts, and actively support the implementation of data-driven solutions in day-to-day business.

Theoretical Training

The theoretical instruction takes place at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Heidenheim.

Duration of the Program

The program lasts six semesters.
